Living rivers, clean lakes – the Water Framework Directive of the EU decrees by when our rivers and lakes are to return to their original excellent quality. The measures planned by the Ministry of the Environment are listed in the Austrian Water Management Plan and the EU demands that the population participates in these plans, as the development of our waters affects every single one of us.

In cooperation with PlanSinn GmbH, Ovos developed the website www.wasseraktiv.at where interested parties can post their opinions. The statements are then evaluated in a separate process.

Under the heading "What water means to me...", users can post their thoughts, which are then published on the corresponding Twitter account. There is also a Facebook Fanpage where users can support the good cause.

Your picture on the water landscape map

The water landscape map shows pictures of highly impressive water landscapes, favourite pictures of users or pictures of water in a less than desirable state. Users can upload pictures and geo-tag them. A Google Map then shows the different locations where pictures were taken.
